The City of Scott would like to invite everyone to the 21st annual Scott Business Association Mardi Gras Parade this Sunday (February 19) at 1:00 PM.
The predicted weather has officials anticipating record-breaking crowds.
In an effort to keep our citizens and visitors safe, we would like to remind everyone of the following:
- Roads will be closed at 11:00.
- Vehicles or trailers placed in the grassy area between South Frontage Road and Interstate 10 before 6:00 AM on Sunday will be cited and towed at owner’s expense.
- Any vehicle left blocking either a roadway or fire hydrant will be cited and towed at owner’s expense.
- This is a family friendly event and vulgar language, music or jesters will not be tolerated.
Scott has been voted the cleanest City in the State on several occasions. In an effort to continue this tradition, we ask that you please bring a trash bags and clean the area where your family was located. Please place the bags on the side of the road, where city employees will dispose of it.
We look forward to seeing everyone Sunday and hope to have another safe, fun and successful event.
